Thickening Agents
Thickeners are used in many different areas. Thickening agents are often long-chained and branched carbohydrates, which can store large amounts of water in their intramolecular free spaces.
Thickener have not only influence on the viscosity they can also change the moisturizing properties of a liquid and are able to form gels.
